I love to tidy up in my mothers attic from time to time. My mother has kept a lot’s of toys and clothes from when I was a kid, and it’s almost like Christmas Eve when I’m opening cases and bags to have a look at what’s inside. I find myself opening lots more cases and bags than needed for tidying up. Who can resist opening that bag with baby clothing? I never stop being amazed by the memories connected to old clothes.

I have recently discovered several ways of keeping those memories without putting them into bags and only seeing them once every five years or so.

Red Magic makes some really cool and very sweet vinyl figures named C.i.Boys. They come in many different series. The ones pictured above are from the Gladia Sport Series.

The C.i.Boys figures are simple and their expressions are made by just a few simple creative strokes. In contrast the rest of the figure is very detailed. The C.i.Boys series, like many other vinyl toy series, are collectors items and you will not know which one you will receive when you order one. In the Red Magic Shop you can find information on how many of each version they have in stock so you it is possible to calculate your chances of getting the one you want.

Red Magic also makes a really cute vinyl series called Lala Couple which are without small parts and great for young girls. The C.i.Boys figures are not suited for small children as the arms are detachable and can easily be swallowed.

RoomMate is a Danish company which designs great products for children and their rooms. For instance they design stuffed foam cars, big cat shaped bean bags and funny dolls.

The dolls are called Roomies. They’re the funny looking dolls you can see in the picture. As you can see they’ve got funny expressions and personalities. You can get to know each doll and the relations between the dolls better at RoomMate where they are all presented on their own page.

I have not yet been able to find an American or international shop for Roomies, but they can be purchased at Design Delicatessen which ship internationally. You just have to get through the ordering process which is in Danish. Maybe sending them an e-mail would be easier.

The trend of putting charms on everything and anything is great. It adds some personality to those otherwise anonymous things we walk around with. Of course it depends on the charms themselves, some are ugly, looks cheap while others are beautiful. There are lots of adoring charms out there that will add both beauty and personality to your stuff.

The cake train is something that could have come straight out of the story of Hansel and Gretel. The Railway Cake Pan from NordicWare is made out of non-stick interior which allows you to make a nine-car train with a lot of fine details. It looks very cool and must be great fun to decorate. Olik is the slightly big boned orange one and Kloon is the long necked green one with the big teeth. They are both 10″ tall, soft and cuddly. They might make a cool and unique companion for kids of many ages.
