Lilipad Studio is located in a small town called Hailey not far from Sun Valley, Idaho. In a large studio adjacent to her home Laura Higdon, together with local artists, makes unique and modern heirloom quality furniture for kids.

The furniture is made using custom-designed stamps which are made from original motifs and illustrations inspired by Asian block printing traditions, Easter European textiles and American folklore imagery. The lovely mixture of patterns and colors, inspired by different cultures and times, makes the furniture something out of the ordinary. Even though they have an “old” heirloom feeling about them they are as modern as can be.

The bold colors and color combinations, the detailed patterns and the child friendly motives makes Lilipad Studios furniture not only beautiful and unusual, but also inspiring and stimulating for the children who uses them. They can truly inspire children to look “outside the box” and use their own imagination and fantasy. The wood used for the furniture are responsibly forested and the paint used is non toxic. The furniture will cause no damage to the environment or the children playing with them. It gets three coats of polyureseal (a type of sealant) and are assembled using materials of high quality to make them as durable and robust as possible. The Lilipad Studio furniture are stamped, signed and numbered on the bottom, just like craftsmen did with their products in the old days.
