Piggybank or Monsterbank?

big_poppa_moneybox.jpgBig G is a very unusual little piggybank with simple round shapes and several well placed and freshly colored spots. This piggybank is made out of china, the money is put into its mouth, and a plastic stopper underneath its belly allows for easy access to the money in the usual way.

I’m not really sure if it’s a cute little piglet or a bloodthirsty monster, but no matter what I think it looks cool.

Big G is designed by Camilla Prada and can be bought at Soma Gallery.

transformers_voice_changer_helmet.jpgOne of Hasbro’s cool Transformer movie tie-ins is the Optimus Prime Voice Changer Helmet, which changes the users voice to sound like Optimus Primes!

Besides changing the users voice the helmet has two other modes, one with sounds of Optimus Primes battle phrases and one with the sounds of Optimus Prime transforming.

The helmet fits adults (yay! ;)) and kids over five years of age. It can be bought through the Hasbro Toy Shop.

Tim Tsuis DaMinci Vinyl Figures

daminci_vinyl_figures

DaMinci is one of Tim Tsui’s creations, which has been released in several different versions, all which have been limited editions. The black and silver version shown above was released yesterday, and is a BeyondGoodNEvil exclusive.

The DaMinci figures have several movable parts, a removable spray can, a mask, and two belt buckles. All DaMinci versions are great, with nice details and color combinations, but this version might be the coolest of them all. The face color and the base color of the mask is the same, which gives the figure a superb look when the mask is placed on it.

Any interest in seeing pictures of other DaMinci versions? If so, have a look at Vinyl Addiction.

BeyondGoodNEvil’s DaMinci is a limited edition and there is only 100 pieces available. To celebrate their exclusive version Tim Tsui has designed a T-Shirt for them, which also was released yesterday at the BeyondGoodNEvil store. The T-shirts are hand printed by BeyondGoodNEvil.

Star Wars R2-D2 Trashcan

r2-d2_trash_canI can imagine many of the little boys out there, who haven’t even seen any of the Star Wars movies, would love to have a robot trashcan like the R2-D2 Trashcan, . Not that it really matters if it can aid them in keeping their rooms tidy.

The big size and the incredible details of the trashcan makes it more of a toy and a cool figure than a simple trashcan.

The Star Wars R2-D2 Trashcan is 24″ tall, has a durable vinyl construction, a removable interior can and a foot pedal for easy opening. It is available at ThinkGeek. Unfortunately the first shipment sold out really fast, but they are getting a new shipment in June or July.

If you are thinking about getting one, I suggest joining the “e-mail me when available” function at their website, because there is no way of knowing how fast they will sell out, and if there will be more after that.

Dart Coat Hooks

dart_coat_hooksThe Dart Coat Hooks are probably made with adults in mind, but I cannot think of a set of coat hooks more appropriate for a boys room.

With these placed by a little boy’s bedroom door chances are at least some of the clothes will be put in the right place!

The darts come as a set of three and has a very clean and stylish look that will suit most boys’ bedrooms very well. The dart hooks are made of stainless steel and have screws for tips so that they can be securely mounted on the wall. They come with rawl plugs for use on plaster walls.

Available at Elsewares.
