Pee&Poo - Forbidden Toys

pee and pooh plush toys
Here’s something different! Emma Megitt, a designer from Sweden, created the cute Pee&Poo characters as her graduation project. She tried to create something that could adress the subject of the bodily functions we all use when going to the toilet, in an amusing and aesthetic manner. She ended up with the Pee and Poo characters.

Pee&Poo not only works well as cuddly plush toys and toilet training buddies, they have also been well received by the adult designer plush fans.

Pee&Poo are sold as plush toys, key rings, stickers and clothing. All products can be bought at Pee&Poo, or through a reseller. Resellers can be found here, under “Återförsäljare” in the top menu.

The plush toys duo package, with Pee and Poo, cost USD 32, and the key rings cost USD 7.5 each.

Jumping Brain Toy

The Jumping Brain is a cross between a brain and a frog. Boys are going to love it! Especially because you’ll be able to divide the two half’s of the brain.

This brainy toy is designed by Lapolab/Emilio Garcia, and will be available in a few months. There will only be made 12o figures of each color, but they will all be signed and numbered. The Jumping Brains will cost about $45-65 USD each.

The Alien Abduction Lamp by Lasse Klein

th_alien_abduction_lamp.jpg

Some of you may have seen the super cool Alien Abduction Lamp, and, just as I, got depressed upon realizing that it was not a real product yet, and there were no real plans to get it out on a shelf anywhere.

A few days ago though, I got a message which made my day. The creator of the lamp, Lasse Klein, wrote that they are working on getting the lamp into production, and it will most likely be in the stores sometime during 2008! I love this lamp, and I will actually go as far as predict a couple of awards to its genius developer!

I’ll keep you updated on this and in the meantime you can check out The Alien Abduction Lamp site for more information on it.

I can’t wait for this!

E-glue Wall Decor

e-glue.jpg

E-glue makes cool wall decoration stickers in lots of different designs, sizes and color combinations.

Their giga-KITs are phenomenal. They are, at the time being, available in savanna-, farm-, under water- and skeleton pirate themes. These kits are full of their fun designs, and maybe the best thing about them is the possibility to choose the color combinations yourself! There are several main colors and secondary colors to choose from, so there’s a good chance of finding colors which match the rest of the room. I would think the kids would love to get to choose the colors themselves as well!

E-glues also has a product called artiKIDS which allows for the customer to send in a kids drawing, which then can be made into wall decals! artiKIDS is, like the rest of e-glues decals, available in many different sizes.

Drop by e-glue for more information or to purchase their products.

Handmade Robot Pouches

cool_handmade_robot_pouch.jpgWhen kids only need to take small stuff like keys, wallets and phones with them, it’s great for them to have a small pouch to keep it all in. Anatomy Of A Skirts handmade Robot Pouches are small, practical and cool looking.

The Robot Pouches are made out of silver or gold vinyl, which makes them water resistant and easy to clean with a damp cloth. They open by unzipping their mouths, and I think they’d work just as well as small pencil cases.

The Robot Pouches, along with lots of other cool accessories, are available at Anatomy Of A Skirt.

Piggybank or Monsterbank?

big_poppa_moneybox.jpgBig G is a very unusual little piggybank with simple round shapes and several well placed and freshly colored spots. This piggybank is made out of china, the money is put into its mouth, and a plastic stopper underneath its belly allows for easy access to the money in the usual way.

I’m not really sure if it’s a cute little piglet or a bloodthirsty monster, but no matter what I think it looks cool.

Big G is designed by Camilla Prada and can be bought at Soma Gallery.
