The GiggleBrush Designs store is filled with beautiful furniture, bedding and decor for the children’s bedroom. They carry beautiful products by Bebe Chic, DwellStudio and Caden Lane, amongst others, but what caught my eye, when I stopped by the website, were all the cute custom made products they offer for children.

They have a great selection of custom made furniture, toys and decorative items and all their products are hand painted using non-toxic water based paints and sealants. Many of the bedding companies, from which GiggleBrush Designs carry bedding, lets them copy their patterns, and this allows them to make custom made products that matches the bedding you find in their store!

Amongst the custom made GiggleBrush Designs products you’ll find are drawer knobs, picture frames, letters, step stools, wall shelves and toys. My favorite custom products in the store are the rocking horses, which can be custom made with the kids name painted on the side of the bow rocker.

There are several different rocking horse designs to choose from and I’m especially fascinated by the Plaid Rocking Horse and the Pastel Rocking Horse. Both have fun patterns and bright colors that will stimulate the child’s brain. The rocking horses cost between 119.95 USD and 179.95 USD.

If you’re thinking of getting a custom made gift for a child this Christmas, you should keep in mind that the delivery time on custom made products is longer than on other products, so you should order in good time!

Most kids nowadays have that great “too-many-toys” problem. The problem is often storage, where to put all the toys?? Boon has made an excellent product that takes care of this problem and adds a piece of furniture in the process.

The Boon animal bag is simply a beanbag without the beans. You stuff the bag with all the soft toys lying around taking up space, and whoops, you’ve got more space and have even made yourself a comfy bean-, or shall I say soft toy-bag, at the same time.

The Boon Animal Bag comes in three different versions, Oval, Otto and Trio. Oval is basically a bright green ball. Otto is the shape of a small ball and a bigger ball merged together and has a bright turquoise color.

The trio is the shape of three balls merged together and has a bright orange color. All versions have round “windows” that allow the kids to keep an eye on where the soft toys are so they can easily get a hold on the right one, without having to look through the whole bag. The Moroccan inspired Children’s Table & Cushion Set uses cushions instead of chairs, which is a great for children. A traditional chair restricts a childs movements a lot and the cushions along with the height of the table allows children to move freely when drawing, painting and playing. Another great thing about it is that it is round. A round table of course removes the risks involved when mixing active kids and sharp corners, but it also allows children to sit together without being divided by corners and interact very well with each other.

The children’s table is made out of hand painted plywood and Moroccan orange tree and the cotton flannel cushion covers are removable and machine washable. The table set is a good example of nice, simple and functional design for children.

Lilipad Studio is located in a small town called Hailey not far from Sun Valley, Idaho. In a large studio adjacent to her home Laura Higdon, together with local artists, makes unique and modern heirloom quality furniture for kids.

The furniture is made using custom-designed stamps which are made from original motifs and illustrations inspired by Asian block printing traditions, Easter European textiles and American folklore imagery. The lovely mixture of patterns and colors, inspired by different cultures and times, makes the furniture something out of the ordinary. Even though they have an “old” heirloom feeling about them they are as modern as can be.
