Rehabilitated Dishware is the brainchild of Sarah Cihat and was a part of her thesis project at Parsons School of Design. By re-designing and re-surfacing used and unwanted dishes she gives them a new and much longer life.

The ceramic plates, which she finds at places like Goodwill, Salvation Army or the reject piles at retail stores, are transformed from their old look to modern, stylish and colorful plates that would make any dinner table look amazing, especially at parties. This way of renewing used and unwanted things is of course also a great way of helping reduce the strain on the environment.

Many of the plates have colors and illustrations which make them great gift ideas for children. Not only would the dishes be great to eat from but they would also work well as decoration in a child’s bedroom. After all, the dishes are valuable and collectible designer pieces.

The Dart Coat Hooks are probably made with adults in mind, but I cannot think of a set of coat hooks more appropriate for a boys room.

With these placed by a little boy’s bedroom door chances are at least some of the clothes will be put in the right place!

The darts come as a set of three and has a very clean and stylish look that will suit most boys’ bedrooms very well. The dart hooks are made of stainless steel and have screws for tips so that they can be securely mounted on the wall. They come with rawl plugs for use on plaster walls.

Pylones makes lots of very nice products for kids. They use fresh colors and color combinations, fun motives and patterns to make their products something out of the ordinary. Pylones bike locks are shaped and colored as snakes.

Besides being fun and unusual the bike locks are of a very high quality and does a good job keeping the bike safe. The core is made of metal, the fabric used is of a good and durable quality and the head and tale is hand painted.
